Kaspa fork to karlsen?

Post by HappyPenguin »

Im wondering if the KLS ( karlsen) is really a fork of Kaspa? I haven't seen any mentions of it other than their page saying they are a fork and their explorer page at the bottom saying made with love by karlsen and kaspa developers? Any insight?

Yes, from what i have noticed it seems to be a fork of kaspa with a few minor adjustments.. their goal is to be asic resistant, and have different tokenomics, didnt really dive too much into it

I am new so I apologize, appreciate you taking the time to respond. So when a hard fork occurs is it done by the Kaspa team or a completely different group? I have a lot to learn over here lol. I am researching stuff but sometimes asking others helps. Thank You.:)

All good, glad to have you! In this case its a whole new chain & team which has nothing to do with the original Kaspa community/devs. They are just using the Kaspa idea/code with minor twists and changes. So its an offshoot of Kaspa.
